Attention All Members of the Kingston Clippers Soccer Club.
We are looking for individuals interested in supporting youth soccer through their participation on our Board of Directors. The Board of Directors plays a vital role in the long range planning and set the overall goal within the Club's framework.
Currently, we have two immediate positions open: Secretary and Treasurer.
For the 2018 season, with Mr. Dale Neal and Ms. Kim Vandepol stepping down after years of dedicated service, we will also have openings for a Director of Facilities and a Director of Recreational Programs.
These positions involve attending hour-long Board Meetings every second month in the evenings at the Club offices at 35 Terry Fox Drive. The duties and responsibilities for each position are outlined below:
Treasurer. The Treasurer shall ensure that full and accurate records are kept of the accounts of the Club and report to the Board of Directors at least once per quarter and at the Annual General Meeting.
Secretary. The Secretary, among other duties, shall maintain a record of all minutes of the Board, the Club's constitution and rules, and have a working knowledge of procedures.
Director of Facilities. The Director of Facilities works with the City of Kingston to schedule fields for the use of the Club's membership, and to maintain a record of that use.
Director of Recreational Programs. The Director of Recreational Programs assists staff in compiling registered members onto teams, organizes the year-end events and communicates throughout the season to ensure the smooth operation of the U9-U12 House League and U13+ Interlocking programs.
